no crisp to be found anywhere but it cooked the apples up and we enjoyed it anyway....

Sorry I jumped the gun in the other thread. These are wonderful. My solution would have been, "surely there is a way to do it in the microwave". Glad to see the pioneer spirit is alive and well in RI.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

all kinds of pioneering here in the woods...our adventure ended with me getting stung(repeatedly by a wasp and getting a mild allergic reaction to it) yay for LOTS of Benadryl.
Disclaimer: I did nothing to the wasp---it cralwed up my gauchos(widelegged skirt/pants) and started stinging at the hip area and netherparts) I pulled my pants/skivvies down and swatted it off while my husband stared on completely dumbfounded that I had dropped trou' right in the back yard....LOL quite the pioneers he he
The neighbors probably have now seen more of me than they wanted to---and no I have no pics of the incident.

Just one more reason you need to teach the hubby to use that camera. This could have been a great picture story.

Wow! there's the underground oven! Thanks for taking these and sharing here. That's quite the way to cook! It looks very simple, actually. I'll bet the food tasted better than it would have in a brand new in-house oven!
