This thread might get huge in a hurry. Fortunately I don't have time to dig a few hundred out right now.

Old, battered and neglected is a popular theme.
This is one of my favs and someday I might get around to printing it.

These are all very nice and dead on the theme. I really think a lot of people will have images to contribute to this thread. In the mean time here is another new one from me and one that I posted in the gallery earlier this week but this time it's b&w.

If you are asking about the last place by the tracks I'm not sure what it was originally but by the looks of the multi electrical meters it had been turn into apartments somewhere down the line. I would think it was some kind of general store originally.

Great find and it fits the theme perfectly. These kind of derelict vehicles are getting harder and harder to find.

'Seldom Seen' ... Seldom Seen is on the Gelantipy Plateau, in the south eastern uplands of the Australian Alps.

    http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...mSeenII804.png

At Seldom Seen everything is seldom seen except for the smokey atmosphere which is always seen. The old high country cattlemens huts are very enjoyable to visit, the views are always stunning and they are great places to stay in.

Weathered, battered and neglected many are ... but the Kosciusko Huts Association is restoring as many historic alpine huts as possible.

Comment on the picture with the train tracks and red building....
I really like this photo a lot! They way one track leads into the distance and the other comes in to the scene and back out with the nice curve adds interest to the photo. I have to say that the colors and the detail are very nice also. Maybe a little less sky on the top. The over all picture just goes together very well for me and I think it's great. Jeff

Well, Young Grasshoppers, I went to visit my next-door neighbour Srigg.. It took about 4 hours drive to get his place. Stigg lives close by thank goodness.

When I met Stigg he said, "Park your Tardis over there Sunshine, on my pateau"

Not wanting to be a rude guest, I did what Stigg insisted ... and there was a perfect spot on his pateau, to park my Tardis.

This was at an abandoned theme park, turned secret skate park, called 'Splendid China'

This building is actually a mini-building, but some of the real buildings were fun to shoot as well.

Wow, blur out the trees directly behind it a little and you'd never know it wasn't full scale, even the rubble seems appropriately sized!

yea i know. it could fool me and i was there haha

for anyone that cares, it's actually about 12 ft. tall, and there's a bunch of mini-things there. There's even a mini great wall that runs along one of the park's sides. it's a pretty cool place

Hey, OT. I've got one of those. Found it in a dump in ' 65 near the Bremerton shipyard.
Practice dummy from WWII so I was told. I use it for a plant stand. Mine still has paint on it though. I'll try to grab a pic later.
