Pics of wind storm aftermath (WA. State)

We had a horrid wind storm a couple of nights ago. For the 2nd time in two years we had a tree hit and go through our roof. This one was quite a bit smaller (about 80 feet, the first one was 120 feet), but put a 6 foot hole in our roof.

It almost hit my son's room again while he lay in there sleeping.

When morning came we saw what looked like a war zone. A even bigger tree in our front yard fell across the road into our neighbor's property, but got hung up in power lines. Later in the day the power company turned on the power to the downed lines and it started electrical fires that lasted over 3 hours. We are so lucky nobody was electrocuted. The power company when they finally made it out there said we all should have been fried. I'm the dumb@$$ who was snapping pics of it.

If you'd like to see here's a small gallery of pics I took starting when daylight hit. There are caption for most of the pics that gives better explaintions of what happened and what you are looking at.

We ended up in a hotel, but are back home.

As soon as I heard about the horrible weather problems you were having out there my first thought were of you. So glad you and your family are OK. Wish I could say the same for your home. Thanks for checking in with us and post pics of your home. Hope the worst is over now for a long time to come, surely it can't strike in the same place three times..
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Stupid me, but now I know. We were actually all standing on wet black top next to the power lines. Now I know this is not a good thing to do if you enjoy living.

What are the chances of it striking twice like that? All I know is I'm having every big tree removed from our property.

Thanks for thinking of us OT.
