    After the storm

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago ... On a Saturday afternoon, drove north of the city to this location which has great views of the canyon where Rio Santiago runs through, I was on my way to the location hoping for a good sunset, about 10 miles before arriving, I found myself driving through a storm, it was incredibly heavy rain and I my expectations to obtain good images were fairly low, luckily the storm went the opposite way and left the cloud formations seen in the picture.

This an HDR image of 3 raw pictures, bracketed at +1 0 -1, hand held , auto aligned with photomatix

Handheld !!! You must have steadier hands than I.
The hdr works really well for shots like this, so the exposure is good throughout.
Beautiful shot. Print it and hang it.

I've only used it with shots from a tripod but the occasion might arise so that's good to know.
