Hi all,
I've just found this site and I'm guessing this is the forum for introductions so here we go.
I'm about 3 years into photography as a hobby having taken it up to replace coaching baseball in late 2005. I started with a Canon S2 IS (which I loved), moved to an S5 IS and 430EX flash (which I loved and still have). In June of this year, after enough research to launch a space shuttle (not to mention confuse myself into a coma) I graduated to a 450D/XSi as my first DSLR. Being me, I now own equipment which is way more capable than my talent but I'm enjoying myself a lot. All told, I've shot about 20,000 frames of which almost 200 aren't total garbage.
My favorite subjects are, in no particular order, wildlife, Hudson Valley scenery, sports action and pretty women.
I tend to be more technician than artist. About once a month, I get all the settings right and come out with a really good image. Getting it all right so that the camera picks up what I see is the kick for me. I'll be putting up some stuff in the categories today.
I look forward to spending time with y'all.
