Asleep On The Job..Great Scarecrow Roundup

I caught this fellow asleep on the job yesterday afternoon. Our local chamber of commerce is sponsoring what they call The Great Scarecrow Roundup. I posted a picture of Buckethead Bob and Mopbucket Millie earlier this summer. They are spokes scarecrows for the event. At any rate during the month of October our whole area is overrun with scarecrows. During the harvest season many areas around the country display scarecrows. If you live in one of these areas how about showing us some of the local artwork. Scarecrows can be very inovative and many show a great sense of humor by their creators. Here is my first contribution.

My landlady just put one in front of the house for Halloween! Yesterday I came back late and it was dark.... Well you can imagine... I will try to take a pic of it and post it when I can... I'm an old school film buff, so it's going to take some time!

Well maybe I was wrong. There must not be as many scarecrows in your part of the woods as there are in mine. Here are a couple more I found last night. The first is in front of our church and are named after our minister and his wife, Stormin Norman and Joyous Janice. The second is in front of a local insurance agency that specializes in farm insurance. Enjoy..

Hi OT. I took some pictures of 2 scarecrows last summer. I wasn't very happy with the results, the washed out sky stymied me. But when I saw your post I decided to give the images another look and decided to desaturate them a bit... it seemed to fit their faded coloring and the blah sky.

Allow me to revive this thread! I promised some scarecrow pics a while ago. After finishing the roll, having it developed, scanning the most promising frames, and processing it in PS, here are the results!
