More Washington pictures, and then some...

I wasn't able to get to the places that got really flooded but I was able to get out and about some of the local towns. It's supposed to rain again tonight so we'll see how much more gets flooded. I-5 is still closed and may be closed for several days.

#1 Olequa Creek that runs by my home, but this was shot off the bridge at Anonnen Road, about a mile and a half from the house. This was handheld at 1 second to get the water blur.

#2 This young lady's name is Kaylen, and she was nice enough to pose for me while handing me my Cafe Mocha this morning.

#3 Our friendly National Guardsmen making sure nobody is fool enough to try and get onto the freeway.

#4 Trucks parked on Hwy. 12 unable to make their route on up to Seattle.

#5 While we were on Hwy. 12 we went and checked out our church to make sure it didn't get flooded. On the way back this old church bus provided a great photo op.

You sure picked a good time of year to move to Washington, Schrackman.
Water has receded in our town but still high. Must be 6 inches of silt on the flat across the street that was flooded yesterday.
Western Washington is now isolated. We can go to Canada but not south or east and thats where everything comes from. I heard usually 10,000 trucks a day on I-5 and 7000 across that mountains that are now not delivering groceries and supplies.
The shelves are going to empty soon.
    Keep Shooting!

It very sad I saw a lot of destruction today people just standing watching there house get swallowed up by a river, cars submerged to the hoods very sad. The one site I came across and really struck me for some reason thru Hell N High Water our Old Glory still shines

One more from today really shows the huge amount of water the rivers are carrying. The house on the shoreline looks like a stick compared to the ragging river.

Those are some great shots, Ray, especially your last two. I can't get to the flooded areas myself, so I'm glad someone is able to show what things are like here in Washington. Although I do think things are worse farther up north than down here.

Boy, you sure said it! I'm beginning to think Washington is full of liars, because everyone keeps saying "It's not always like this."

Yeah, right, just when I come to live up here. lol.

Our prayers are with all of you folks up there. Try to stay as warm and dry as you can. Looks like pneumonia weather!
