    My Big 2 triple 0!

    I'm right behind Michael!

I decided for my big 2000 I would gather a bunch of sunrise/sunset pictures I have taken since moving here in June of last year. These were either shot with the Nikon or Mamiya but all are Velvia 50.

    Have fun looking!

    Phoenix Mountains Preserve:

North of Flagstaff near the Navajo Reservation:

    Monument Valley:

    Lake Powell, near Page, AZ:

Congrtulations on hitting the 2000 mark Rick! Some great photos here, but my favorite is the 1st one. Great colors! Gotta love Velvia. I'm a big fan of this area of the country and wish I could spend more time exploring the desert southwest.

I really like the Mazatal mountains sunset image. Since I just hit the big 1 double 0 ( ), I guess I've got some time to improve so that I can post some outstanding images for my 2000th post. Great job walterick.

Living here is really a blessing. I encourage everyone to take a trip through the southwest, and bring lots of film! Velvia doesn't hurt either ;)

    Thanks Ken

It seems like 1000 was a long time ago! I remember posting in my 1000 that I was moving to Phoenix. I guess it it fitting that my 2000 should all be shots of Arizona

Hope I didn't make ya too homesick! I'll post a picture of a thermometer later to remind you of why you moved to Wisconsin

Re: My Big 2 triple 0!

Thanx for the offer of showing me the thermometer...but, that would only make me more homesick. Now find a photo of an old, sad, lonely man slowly fading away from lack of companionship...that would be why I left Arizona. I met a wonderful woman, 8 1/2 years ago, on the internet!!! I came out here to see if we had anything in common...and I stayed...then married her 3 years ago!! hehe...
But...again..thanx for all the great pictures!!!!!!!! You do my homestate proud!!!!!!

    Hey Rickster!

Congratulations on the the big 2000!!!!

And for the record, that was Venus with the moon last summer. Jupiter is now a fairly early riser in the eastern sky after sundown.

PS: This was post # 2400 for me! You're catching up.
