    Question Right On!

    Hey Megan,
I am not as familiar with Lomo's as I am with Holga's.
Can you submit to these with a Holga rather than a Lomo?
    I don't have a Lomo, yet...
    How are you Megan?
    I am well!
    Thanks!!!

    Yes, they allow Holga submissions.
I could be wrong, but you can use basically any camera they sell via lomo... the colorsplash, the lomo, lubitel, Holga, action sampler, etc.

    I'm doing pretty good!
Even a short vacation does wonders!

I am headed to Moab later today, and have my Holga locked, cocked and ready to rock..
I'll see what comes my way.
    Thanks Megan!

All the lomos and cameras sold through http://www.lomo.com are all so unique! It really depends on what you want to do. The "classic" lomo is a 35mm rangefinder. The Action Sampler is a fun camera, I've got one - you just have to take the photos outside, really, in bright light - unless you get the new Action Sampler with flash. THAT camera has some potential! I've used an action sampler image as a graphic element on the first page of my site - http://www.planet-megan.com. The 4-up of the grass was taken with the AS.

Anything you get from lomo is going to be a fun little experiment, and will be a refreshing way to expand your vision and "think outside of the box." I'd say that if you are interested in the AS, go for it! It's a good, cheap gateway camera that will start you on your road to toy camera addiction.

And be sure to post your results here!

    Holga.....

I was out shooting with my Holga this weekend in Moab.
I shot a couple of frames of the sandstone mesa in the early morning light.
Love that redish morning light of the desert southwest.
Shot a few other things in town too.
    No double exposures this time.
I did enter the Lomo Mission though.

    Excellent!

I've got a few from the "archives" that I need to scan and add to the mission.
All I did photographically this weekend was to organize and file gads and gads of contact sheets that were scattered hither and thither in me wee apartment. Now almost everything is in order and in one place. Well, contact sheets anyway. Today, the contact sheets, tomorrow, the sock drawer!
