    A Few Random Holga Pix

Here are a few Holga pix that sorta slipped thru the cracks... The B&W portrait was shot about two years ago after I finally processed a roll I finished up at the end of this past August. :blush2:

The first photo - Instant Cash - is a real "screamer" with the vibrant yellow house and blue sky. The building is really that bold, but the polarizer I used to cut the mid-day light for the 800 ISO film really over-saturated the sky...

From the indy film Locked Away

This is a portrait of an actor from the indy horror film "Locked Away" shot before filming. Ouch, that cut on his cheek is gonna leave a mark...

Yup, the gash definitely has some scar potential.
I've never used anything except 400 in my Holga - does 800 work better in the indoor/low light situations?

    Hi Megan,

I've had pretty good luck using the 800 in early morning/before sunset situations (I've only shot about six rolls so I've had limited experience). And if I feel the light is too strong I just hold a polarizer over the lens to cut the light two stops (I guess I could also twist the polarizer to cut the light less than two stops, too).

No experience using it inside yet...

For me, using 400 film always turned out a bit thin... but that's just me. I've seen some great work shot on 400.

    Happy shootin',
    Max
