A Different view from my window.....

A few minutes ago I happened to glance out my window. Since there is a Church across the street from me, it's not surprising to see a wedding on the weekend. However, this was more interesting than usual. I grabbed the G9 since I had to hang out the window to quickly get a few snaps. The bride and what looked like it might be her mother arrived in the "carriage" and the bridal party in the bus........

After the bridal party went into the Church, the "carriage" & bus proceeded to the Church parking lot....

Nice catch Liz. That G9 came in handy this time. I'm ready to see some of your wide angle shots.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Me too! The lens arrived Thursday - and it's been raining ever since. The one day it didn't rain, I was unable to get out! It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but Tuesday is hopefully going to improve.

That guy holding the door in the last one doesn't appear dressed for the occasion. Was he part of the party or just someone that wanted to get in on the act?
Either way, thanks for sharing...now every woman planning a wedding will want to rent a carriage...lol

I think what happened was that after the bride and her (mother?) went into the Church, the driver took the "empty" carriage into the Church parking lot. The guy that you see is undoubtedly one of the many curiosity seekers, neighbors, whatever. I think he just wanted a view. Although there is another person sitting inside. I doubt either attended the wedding - the wedding party bus had long-gone into the parking lot.

Yes, it is unique - something like you might see in NYC - but not usual in a tiny borough in NJ. Thus the variety of persons surrounding the carriage as it parked and passed through the side streets.
