    My Class Project....

As you guys may or may not have already known I am in school for IT Admin. Part of this degree is webdesign, and so I have been taking a multimedia course that focuses on the design program Macromedia Flash MX 2004.

I have not been sharing my work so far, because until now it has had nothing to do with my photography. However, my first class project gave me my first real chance to flex my muscles and use my own designs. I know that some of this is cheesy, and certain elements are reather distracting, but please keep in mind that this is a simple thing and I had to show that I have the skills to use them.

Let me know what you guys think!

    Hi Almo,

Very nice site layout, but it's easy to tell you just learned Flash. The best flash interface on the site is for displaying your photos. But on the other pages, please stop having the camera bouncing around on the bottom, it get's a tad distracting, you could possibly incorperate it into your banner. Also the pulsing in the navagation is a tad annoying.

    Thanks Axel!

I understand the annoyance, but it's like I said, I just put those things in to show I could do them. The book had a certain layout that I followed loosely. In the original the camera would have been a rolling baseball. I think of it as a trash site. As soon as the project is over it's coming down. I would never have built a site like this for myself.

    Thanks for the input!

Looks like you are having fun. Here's the best advice on site development available IMHO.

Hi Almo...my only concern...and I understand this is just a first step...is to make your lighting area a little larger. I found on a couple of the pages, that I had trouble reading the edges because the words disappeared into the dark areas. Don't know if it is my monitor or my eyes. All in all...a very good start!!!

    Thanks Ken!

I see what you mean. I made this on a laptop, and the LCD screens tend to be brighter. I sometimes forget to compensate. Thanks for pointng that out.
