Show Us A Photograph You Did In "The 90's"
I am feeling a little reminiscent so I thought I'd post a couple of photographs I did back in 1990, when I was in college.
They were both done within a month of each other, for a class I took that was called something like" Experiemental Photography", basically the idea behind the class was to print BIG, and I am talking as small as 20"x24". The first one is from a concert I went to at an alternative music club that was in downtown Salt Lake, the band is Sound Garden.
I only printed it to 20"x24".
The second one, appears almost like it did back then, in that I had stuff from the two surrounding frames plus the sprocket holes and all. I printed this one as large as 3'x5", that is FEET. It was a fun class!

With that, I want to see a photograph that you made from "The 90's", even if it is as recent as 1999... ;)

Taken in 1995 with a Minolta Maxxum 5000. I recently scanned the negatives and my poor Photosmart S20 creates some bad banding, so please forgive:(

Bad copy of an old print. Graffenwore(sp) Germany March '92.
Pentax K-1000, 50mm f2, Kodak ektar 125 neg, machine print.
    30secs f11.

The boys were in a hurry and got permission to start their night fire sooner than usual.
It was dark, but there was still some light in the sky.
I hope I can find the neg some day.
    Mark.

Even if that is a bad copy that is a very cool shot! i could only imagine what a "good" print of that would look like!

Brian, that first photo is a great b/w. The only thing that bothers me is that light, but I suppose that couldn't be helped.

On the second photo, all I can say is thank God mullets are nearly extinct! lol

btw, I wasn't shooting in the 90's so unfortunately I can't contribute. But this will be fun to watch.

Dude you have a picture of Soundgarden from 1990. You are a god.

I've never seen Chris Cornell without his goatee before. He looks about 19. This is a very significant photo in my opinion.

I like your biker pic too. Nice angle with that motley crew.

I started shooting in 1999 so I'll have to go back and dig up a few from my first year of photography. Should be fun :D

Thanks for the neat thread idea.

This was on the "Louder Than Love" tour Rick.
I am glad you like my photograph so much!
As I recall, when I did this photograph, I did a "hail mary" you know I held the camera over my head. I did it with my first camera too, a Minolta X-570, a manual focus camera!

1999?! I first picked up a camera back in 85'...
    Dude!
    99 Counts! Post Something!
    Party On Rick!

Heheh my first camera was a Minolta X-700, so my 1990's pic will be with a Minolta too :D

I am currently backlogged trying to make relpies to Viewfinder threads (Adina's self-portrait post is still awaiting my witty reply) but I will get a shot in here sooner or later!

    Party hard!

I don't have any photos from the '90s since I wasn't doing the photography thing back then. However I do have one of my first photos from 2000. Which is right on the other edge of the '90s.

PYPS Labour Day 2000 -- Glen Mhor Camp.

The story behind this, the gal, the one doing the pushing had a year earlier (PYPS Labour Day 1999) had been part of the planning team for the weekend and they sold themselves off to raise money for missions, well the guy, the one being pushed, had spent $85.00 to throw a pie in her face. Skip ahead again to LD2K, the guy's on the committee and they do the same thing, the gal get's him for $30.00, and pushes him in the freezing cold lake...and this is my capture of it.

Indeed! Well, we're about to get snowed in here in NY, so after I'm done cleaning the kitchen and bathroom of a month of neglect (yes, gross, I know, good thing I live alone) I'll delve into the archives for some early art school shots.

Here's one from the early 90's (maybe late 80's?). The photo editor of the newspaper didn't run it for some reason. Hope it doesn't offend anybody! Shot with Canon A-1 SLR, Tri-X B&W film, Tokina 400mm AT-X, exposure unrecorded:

    Nice! :)

At this point a Temple of the Dog reunion would also be a Soundgarden reunion. I'm not sure if they're ready for that yet or not.

BTW, I love the song by Audioslave that's on the radio right now. "It doesn't remind me of anything" or something like that. Makes me laugh every time! It sounds like the old Chris Cornell.
