Re: Self Portraits 2009
[QUOTE=natgaines]I started a 365 project, so I'll be taking lots of self portraits. This one didn't have all sort of crazy photoshop, so I figured I'd add it :) Hurray, it's my Friday! And I'm going to bed now!! :D

Great addition to the thread Nat. Looks like a wonderful New Years Eve.

Re: Self Portraits 2009
Adina, I think we need to see a self portrait of you smiling. You look so somber in those photos. Not that this is a bad thing, just once in a while show us your brighter side. :) (says the guy who never posts any self-portraits)

Re: Self Portraits 2009
Well, I guess I'll throw an attempt out to the wolves. I had to spend the afternoon cutting, hauling and stacking branches (debris from our ice storm) out by the road. Here's a shot taken with my cell phone after a couple hours of work in the cool, brisk wind!

I suck at smiley self portraits. However, I will be hooking up with some photog friends next weekend and will try and get some smiley ones.

Re: Self Portraits 2009
I didn't get as close as I want, but this is from my 2nd week doing a 52 week project. I'll post the photo I took for the 1st week, which was inspired by the Window Light thread tomorrow. I'll also try and get a closer self portrait!:) I've been posting them to my Flickr page. Check it out if you have time!

Re: Self Portraits 2009
All these are good and interesting shots.
One of these days, I'll just have to give it a serious try.
Schrack, isn't your avatar a self portrait? ( ;- )

Troy!
What happened to you? OMG, you turned gray!
You're starting to look like me!!! Lucky bastard! ;-)
Sorry, I couldn't resist buddy! :-D
Good to see you. Now post some shots of Collette and Gus in Old Timer's Window Light thread. I'll do the same with some shots of Dawn.

Re: Self Portraits 2009
Cool shot Christina! I usually detest photo's with a tilt (it's all the rage right now and so freaking overused and fadish) but it really works with this shot. Very well done!

This is a really cool shot! I like the curve of the smoker and how it reflects your image!

Thanks! I was really trying to capture the railroad tracks, as it was integral to what I was aiming to portray in this photo for my project without being like everyone else! I'm glad you liked it :).

Re: Self Portraits 2009
I agree about them being new ones. And you can pick quality or quantity I'll whip up on you either way

Re: Self Portraits 2009
Haha. YOU were hoping I would post the shot of my butt from a few years back

Well, my skill can't match Adina's, and I am no Larry for looks, but I have a camera and a face. So, here are some pics.
