Canon 20D---Locking up???Battery???

I've been cruising around www.fredmiranda.com, and several photogs there are complaining about the new 20D locking up! Anyone here having that problem???? Other than that they are really happy about the 20D's start-up speed, focusing,... Sharpness may still be a bit soft though???

Anyone know anything about the new BP-511 battery? I just ordered one, but I am still using a 10D and the original BP-511 batteries. The new battery is more powerful. Can you combine 1 old & 1 new BP-511 in the battery grip or will it cause problems??

Thanks Liz! Are you still using the D Rebel? My 10D, & 70-200 has been a great lens so far, but I'll probably be adding the F2.8 IS to my lens collection soon. I have a new photography job in which a F2.8 is a MUST!

I remember the day......when you were thinking about getting a digital p&s as a backup.

Yes, I'm still using the Rebel - still love it. I don't get as much photography time anymore, but I'm trying to rearrange some things to reverse that!

The F2.8 IS 70-200 is awesome. I love the "L" lenses! I've been sooooooo spoiled with my 17-40. It's such an awesome lens. My favorite.

I haven't had any problems with the 20d locking up. Haven't used it that much though, so we'll see. As far as the battery, what the guy at the camera store told me was that it was exactly the same, except for a longer charge. So while I don't have a grip, everything is interchangeable with the 10d, so I would assume that it would be fine.

Pics out of the camera are no softer than out of the 10d, a little bit of ps, and they are pretty sharp. The main things I've noticed right away is that it is much lighter than the 10d, and the shutter seems very loud. Both of which I can live with.

I've not had my 20D lock up yet. Of course at this point for me, the 20D can do no wrong! ;)
