Re: Power Plant Implosion
Nice job Greg, as a reshoot was going to be tricky, I suppose you must have pondered a bit on camera settings prior to the event.

Re: Power Plant Implosion
I did ponder the settings a bit, though I think my only mistake was not moving farther down to reduce the angle of the sun's effect on the lens: I think the sun made the pix less sharp.
Re: Power Plant Implosion
Whoah! What an awesome photo opportunity! I think you did a very nice job. Very cool :)
Re: Power Plant Implosion
Yeah, that's cool. Back lighting illuminates the dust cloud well too. I'd like to shoot something like that one day. From upwind!
Re: Power Plant Implosion
Thks fellows, it was fun to watch! Not sure I love my photos of it, but perhaps it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Re: Power Plant Implosion
I missed this before, very nice series!!
I've never seen something like this in person , it takes so much preparation and then it is over in seconds
Re: Power Plant Implosion
cool series. I like the second shot where you can see all the birds fly away. I would love to get the chance to shoot something as rare as an building implosion. Sadly when they took down the RCA dome (Hoosier Dome) I was out of state. I have a lot of friends that did get it on video and still.
