Wink Dawn In The Hot Tub

I know, it's not even April yet, and here I am posting hot tub pictures.

That's because we got a hot tub for Chirstmas. It was "used" though the folks that bought it put it on their back deck and NEVER hooked it up. It sat there for four years! So we got a hot tub, cheap. I hauled in blocks on Dec 22, sand on Dec 23, and we got the hot tub and had my buddy wire it on Dec 24. Christmas day, Dawn and I were in it! I've been in it every day since and Dawn has only missed one day.

So, there's another perk to visiting with Speed and the lovely Dawn. We have officially renamed our house from the McCabe Bed and Breakfast, to the McCabe Bed and Breakfast and Hydrotherapy Spa. ;-)

It's looking more and more like a visit to NC should get on my calender.

Nice way to kick back and enjoy life. We are adding a three season room and deck on back of the house this spring I think a hot tub might be a very good addition to that combo.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    butthead.

So here, we got freezing rain Saturday night. When I went out to bring the dog in, I called her, she came running (she's on one of those leads), once she got to the back door (we have a slab of concrete, like 10'x15') she hit the ice, slid all the way over, and crashed into the bench. I laughed, of course.

Today we have wind. Tomorrow more snow.

Dawn looks lovely, as usual. Hope you guys had a great holiday.

Well, the tittle should bring a lot of views!
I should think mid-winter is the time to post hot tub pics more than April.

    Yes it should!

A hot tub would be an excellent addition to your deck my friend.

Adina, really! You have an open invitation to come stay with us and relax in the hot tub anytime you like!

FYI, it got down to 25 a couple of nights last week, and we were still in the hot tub! When we got out, the water that dripped off of us froze in about two minutes. I know because I walked back out onto the deck and stepped on the ice!

Ah, yes. Well, the wife and I vacation in Myrtle Beach every April. And I have made it a tradition to take photo's of us in the hot tub while down there. That is why I post hot tub pics in every April.

But now, I can post them anytime of the year! I can't wait until we get some snow...

I started out in a coat this morning and shed it by this afternoon. 65 degrees here today, 65 tomorrow, and calling for 72 on Wednesday.

    Ha!

    10 degrees here today!

I know you all are jealous. I almost went out and shot the trees covered in ice. But then I realized it was 10 degrees and made some fresh coffee and worked in photoshop.

25? We were 25 below a few days ago.

Gotta love the wind...although a few days before that it was like 50.

Can you hot tub in the snow? I always wondered about those people who are in the moutains, in the hot tub, snow all around, steam rising....oh nevermind...

ohh, Adina, I never told you about the winter hot tub experience I had? Winter tubbing is fantastic!!!! The water is 110 and the air is 30 ... it's a fabulous feeling!!

(ps. I "dipped" this past Sunday into icy Lake Michigan. Up to the thighs. Supposedly the coldest, windiest day ever. Next year it's all the way, baby! Wanna join me?)

You certainly know how to get people to check out your posts buddy. Dawn is lovely as always. At least this time there isn't that gnarly distraction next to her!

We've been having some wild temp swings, with temps below zero and ice storms one week to temps in the high 50s with thunderstorms, high winds and tornado watch/warnings the next. Kind of stabilized in the 20s & 30s with winds in the 20s and 30s. Lovely!

A trip to the McCabe Bed, Breakfast and Hydrotherapy Spa sounds like a great idea!

Our temps have flucuated as well, though not nearly as severe as yours.

    jorgemonkey,

Just hearing from someone in California makes me feel better. I feel admiration not envy. I have been in Michigan for a while helping out family and I can't wait to be warm!
