    Portfolios?

I think we have had this asked before, but I can't seem to locate the thread!

Anyone have any recommendations about WHAT to use for a portfoilio? I have an online portfolio, but I would love a printed one too, in a nice leather type binder.

Any recommendations on where to shop?

While you're waiting for replies, I found a thread. Most others talked about online portfolios.

    Portfolio

I have 2, both from Prat Paris. One is a zippered portfolio with handle, capable of handling 11x14. The one I use most is the Prat Classic 142, which is 8x6, perfect for 5x7 prints and easily fits in briefcase or larger camera bag. Go to their site:
    http://sumac.forest.net/prat/pratnew/142.htm or
    www.dickblick.com

    Hope this helps.

These are pretty pricey high end books, but they have some real beautiful and elegent styles, including leather:

I got mine at Pearl - they have a great portfolio collection! They even have stainless steel ones which are pretty cool if you do rock & roll photography, or they have a gorgeous selection of classic leather portfolios!

Stainless? Sounds great - I'm actually working on a music portfolio now... One question - where is Pearl? This shot might be in it, Spin Doctors on Delta 3200 earlier this summer.

WAIT! I found some online that are similar to what was in pearl! http://www.fastportfolio.com/store/bkport.html <- These are the binder styles, but they have cases too! They are aluminum, not steel, which would probably be a tad heavy! lol Check them out, they are really cool!

Thanks! Pearl has a store in Chicago, I'll try it. A little concerned about polished aluminum though, it would scratch pretty easily and probably look pretty rough after a couple of uses.

Back on subject - Personally I use one of these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=242579&is=REG

It holds 24 8x10's and is less than an inch thick when full. Very simple and inexpensive but well made.
