Point Cabrillo Light house near Mendocino

We saw this light house in the distance from Mendocino, and went and checked it out. There were whale sightings while at the lighthouse, but too far for my camera to reach. As we left, a fog started rolling in, and the colors in the grassy areas came to life. I noticed the banding of the different areas of vegetation that weren't so readily distinguishable in bright sunlight.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Family weekend get away or is local? It's a challenge to get anywhere in Los Angeles without getting a freeway or billboard in the background or your photos. I would need to drive far out most of the time.

Family weekend getaway. Wish we'd left our puppy behind in a doggie hotel. Then we could have brought our bikes and done some leisurely sight seeing.

Nice. I like the fence one, especially.
I'm beginning to notice a pattern of likeing fog and mist photos, personally.
It does seem to make the colors richer(?).

They're fun shots, but I don't get to see much fog where I live except late at night in the winters.
Seems like over cast days (especially with fogs rolling in), reduce the contrast in scenes, and increases color saturation somewhat.
