    Race Agility...

I checked out a dog race agility event today. I knew shooting indoor sports was tough - no light, fast movement - but I now have an even greater appreciation of your efforts. A few shots from where I could get close enough to use the 50mm f/1.4. – TF

You did rather well with the handicap of having to use a 50mm F1.4, I think you can see the look of concentration in the eyes of the dogs.

OH OH I did not finish and hit the post button.

Not much that I can see to improve on the shots.

Nice job - especially for indoors and wide open.

Love the sheltie image - loads of clearance over the bar. I bet the Italian greyhound had even more.

    Re: Race Agility...

I think these are some pretty good shots considering the light, speed, and equipment you had.
I'm thinking of doing some agility training with Sadie. I think I could train her on just about all of it except the part where they weave through those standing posts. I'll have to look up how they do that.

Cool series, my corgi would need the bar on the ground .

    Gotta love that 50mm f1.4!!!

I love my Nikon so much that I bought a Pentax 50mm f1.4 for my K1000.

Great shots. You captured the action quite nicely.

Thanks. They were also shot through dirty plexiglass - it's an indoor soccer arena - and are cropped quite a bit. - TF

Thanks. I focused about 1/2 way down the bar hoping that it would be about the same distance as their eyes. - TF

Thanks, Loupey. Here is the greyhound on its way back down. He got some air. - TF

Thanks, Frog. They are fast - especially the smaller herding dogs. The owners are out there also running their tails off trying to keep up with their dogs. - TF
