Re: The photoshopped thread!
I got this book for Christmas from my hubby.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Photoshop-Di...e=UTF8&s=books
What an amazing book!
Taken using my 50mm 1.8 lens and window light only.
What I have done...
Conversion to B&W, noise reduction, shadows under the eyes, blown out patch on the hand improved and levels.
Re: The photoshopped thread!
ZJ, I really like that last shot. PERFECT example of taking a ho-hum photo and turning it into a wow!

not all that much of a change, just a lot of subtle things.
Re: The photoshopped thread!
Beautiful work Brent!
Love the new home-made bg. You did a great job of making that. It works well.
Here's mine...

Hi all .. a picture I took in Stratford upon Avon (birthplace & home of William Shakespeare) just about a year ago.
Cheers

Re: The photoshopped thread!
I think this thread should be a sticky. I had trouble finding it.
I had some fun in PSP8 and PSCS2 today with a photograph I took back in April 2006

This has been a great thread.
Alison, if you have trouble finding it in the future, it is in the Welcome thread under "Other Discussions," at the top of the list (right before the "50mm lens war" thread  We tend to keep the sticky space for time-related threads. I have a feeling this thread is going to be here for a very, very long time :)
Nice work here btw!

Re: The photoshopped thread!
Thanks Rick.
I thought I would dig this one up and bring it here.

If it can be put here some other way that would be great
Re: The photoshopped thread!
Nope, not without reposting all the photos. I think your link just did the trick though

Re: The photoshopped thread!
I use this photo for my avatar -
It was done by a friend who wanted a few pics of my car at a local cruise night.
The original is shown for comparison to the final PS version.
I call it 'Metal in Motion', and was very impressed by the end result.
I'm sure PS users can appreciate the time and effort involved !
. . . enjoy.
Re: The photoshopped thread!

Alison I like it. It reminds me of the old B&W portrait images.

Thank you freygr :D
I thought I'd give that idea a try.
I love it so much I can't make up my mind whether I like the BW or the colour best!

Re: The photoshopped thread!
Did this one a few weeks ago for a client who thought "it would be better if the car complimented the grass in the background".

Re: The photoshopped thread!
Took this shot of a fellow co-worker while taking pictures in the warehouse where she works. Her back was to me and I called her name and got that I can't believe your taking my picture smile. Used PS to get rid of all the Background. The second picture is the one I sent her. She liked the picture very much.

:) Thank you so much Ken :)
#1 Basically put a new white layer over the picture and change the oapcity to your liking. (Maybe 75%?)
#2 Then grab your eraser at different opacities.
On my image the eyes were maybe 75% the lips at 33%, the hair 10%, the Iris' and pupil's a little darker maybe 90%
Leave the edges white creating a vigniette.
#3 Use the Marquee tool, doesn't matter whether it's rectangle or circular, click and drag this around the image but not too far in. Right click and select inverse.
#4 Right click and fill with white. This just ensures that the edges of the picture are an even white.
#5 Now go to filter > blur > gaussian blur (you can use another blur filter if you don't have gaussian).
Also in my image I got rid of her earrings, using the healing tool and the cloning tool, because I felt they were drawing my eyes away form her eyes.
Brent - Superb PS work!!! Gorgeous portrait!
