    Almost forgot...Agfa half frame pics

finally got developed. I posted some of these over at the RF forum and almost forgot to post them here.

My exposures were good (sunny 16 rule!), but the focusing was not. Focusing with the Agfa Parat-I is difficult, being a scale focus camera. But I have a feeling that the focusing ring is a bit misaligned as well. Several shots were made at the infinity setting and still came out a bit blurry. But here are some of the "better" ones, the first being the sharpest of all the pics (probably got lucky).

The film was Acros 100 developed in HC-110 for 5 1/2 minutes. I like the combination! So much so I now have to shoot a roll of it in my Canonet.

If I can ever get the focus right, this little camera will make for some great diptychs.

cool camera, but i'd up the filter on your printing. they seem a little flat, but it always just could be how they transfer over to digital files.

    Hi Brent,

Hmm...is it possible that it may be your monitor? On my screen they don't look flat at all. Even on my work pc they look fine, though not as good as on my Mac.

Nice shots, Ray. You've built up quite a little camera collection, huh?

I like how easily you can do diptychs.
I would have commented sooner, but I am unable to see pics posted from photobucket!?!

don't think it's my monitor... though in all fairness, I am used to shooting very high contrast images, and it's a personal preference to not print a lot of grey tones. But my monitor is very close to photographic calibration, so I don't think that's it.

Hi Paul, yeah, I actually need to quit wanting to get camera after camera. But I'm becoming so enamored with film I can't help it! lol

The cat is one of three that stay indoors at a local printer. She wouldn't hold still for long, and the lighting was not all that great there. I'm surprised it actually came out as well as it did.

Re: Almost forgot...Agfa half frame pics

    Thanks, Brian.

If you go to RFF half frames forum, I think I inspired someone to buy an Agfa half frame camera with my photos, lol.

The diptychs are fun, I have to admit. I do want to shoot more of them once I get the focus ring checked out.

BTW, have you tried acros 100 in your bessa? If not, give it a shot and have it developed in HC-110. I really like this combo and plan to use it in my canonet next.
