Spy House (one of three most haunted houses in america)

I was taking pics at the beach this summer and snapped a picture of the window of the spy house after feeling like I was being watched - ever have that creepy feeling? Well, you would if you were here. It is considered one of three of the most haunted houses in america and I basically grew up in this house since my aunt was one of the care takers - I was there a LOT.
They closed the house down after way too many incidents after the owner died. Anyway, I was just reviewing pictures of the house and the window that I felt creeped out by. This is completely unedited and I kind of see something, but not sure. I won't say what until you guys peek at the pic...

OK, I don't see anything, and I'm beginning to imagine I see something in the left window that looks like eyes, but I am really CREEPED out. I'm in the house by myself for a week while the wife and kids are visiting grandma down south, so now I've got all the lights in the house on. AAAAARGH.

I can see what looks like Cats eyes in the left hand window, middle row, top row of bottom window. There also looks like something in the bottom right hand pane of the same window as well.

Interesting thing I got, when looking at the right hand window, I thought the left hand window complete, was shifting a little slowly over to the right, but that is just my eye I think.

hey Lionheart, pity we didn't live over there, my 12 year old needs Orthodontic work sometime in the foreseable future. Don't get too spooked out about the windows.

OMG, Janie - I see it too.

I took the liberty of cropping in and blowing up the image so I could see it better - and let me tell you - what I saw in that window was TOTALLY CREEPY - look at this.

LMAO So that's where he's hiding!

Okay, can't be any cats in the house, it's locked up tight for several years now - no one in or out. Okay, here are just a few stories about this place...
Here is a story a psychic tells of when she investigated it: http://www.janedoherty.com/spyhouse1.htm

And below is off another website (there are several). I haven't been in the house since I was 10 - I stopped going there because it was so creepy, but it's been on my mind a lot lately. I would actually like to get some infrared film and shoot the house, but haven't used infrared much. Just thought it would look really interesting - wouldn't it?
    Port Monmouth

Spy House - Parts of this wooden structure were built in 1648, but the main part of the house was not built until the 1690's and was completed by Daniel Seabrook. The house remained in the Seabrook family for some 250 years, and is now considered to be one of the most haunted places in America, boasting over seventy individuals sightings of ghosts. The ghost of a woman wearing white has been seen coming down the stairs from the attic, entering the Blue and White Room, and leaning over a nonexistent cradle to tend to a baby. In the same room in 1975, several people witnessed a sewing machine operate by itself. The ghost of a man with a beard has also been spotted in the first floor hall, and a presence occupies the entry room, as though waiting for a visitor to arrive. The home is called the Spy House because in 1778, the British believed that someone inside the home was spying on their naval operations. At one point they even attempted to burn the house down to stop the suspected spying. Turns out that the real spying was taking place by a man named John Stillwell, who lived nearby on Garrett's Hill.

It kinda looks like the reflection off a metal or brass fixture - are there lights in the ceiling? You'd be at a perfect angle to get that in the photo.

The house is pretty vacant - I actually want to go back there today to take a few more shots. The windows looking out to the ocean seem to be the most active, always have been.

    Janie,
I find the whole story you spoke of very interesting and you have sparked my curiosity in this place. Is there any way inside, or it is totally boarded up. Creepy and cool. i like this knowing the story behind it.

You used to be able to go inside, but not anymore. They've completely emptied the place out - all the furniture, most of which had been there since the 1600's and they filled the cellar with sand - all of which really makes me angry. I used to love going to this place when I was little - they had colonial fairs where people dressed in colonial garb and did the candle dipping and showed what life was like back then. I absolutely lived for that stuff when I was little! When ruth died (she was the caretaker) they closed it down and cleared it out. It's strange how much it's been on my mind - I think the spirits are lonely, felt like that when I was there yesterday. They feed on people's energies and emotions and since there were over 70 there, i'm curious what has happened to them. My friend karl just shot a documentary called the ghost of angela webb which is about THE most haunted house in america. You'd probably like that one
