Stevenpaulhlavac.com: exciting news for my 3000th post!

Well, I have to say, this is sort of a pleasant serendipity. I don't really pay that much attention to the number of posts I have, but just as I was getting ready to make an announcement about my new web site, I couldn't help but notice it will be my 3000th.

    Now isn't that special???...

So, anyway, I'm very pleased to tell you all that my new flash site, www.stevenpaulhlavac.com is now up and running. I suppose the trick is knowing how to spell my name correctly (no small task, heh heh), but a risk I'm willing to take.

A key new piece of my marketing strategy, the site presents my commercial work in a clean, easy to navigate package aimed at reaching Art Directors, Editors, and Art Buyers at agencies and publications.

But don't worry if you think I'm selling out at the expense of my rather, a'hem...colorful personality. The Photo Aslyum isn't going anywhere. That's still where I'll keep my galleries and all the other sorted (and assorted) strangeness you've come to expect from me... ut:

So, let me know what you think of the new site!

BTW, as you peruse my portfolio, you may just recognize a certain fearless leader of ours!

    Congrats on the 3000th post. . .
Your new site is layed out very effectively. Simple, and easy to get right to the great work. The opning home page is impressive from the start in it's simplicity and style but right away shows off your photographic talent. Amazing images that i find very inspirational especially now that I'm getting into some lighting and studio type photography.
I love your musician portraits, and as I mentioned to you in the other thread the Windy City Fashion series is awesome.
Impressive , keep up the great work

Very professional Steve. Hope it helps generate a lot of work for you. You even made the fearless leader look good.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Very nice, I like the image size, and it's very easily navigated.

However, I think it would be vastly improved if you used that shot of Sebastian at the W instead.

Thanks. You know a bit of the backstory to this. The site is put together by liveBooks. They did design, layout, navigation, compliance, all the tech stuff. I get an edit suite with image libraries and control the content. A nice setup...

Perhaps, but I prefer this shot from the year before...

I was thinking more along the lines of a Hindu Godess, or maybe a hummingbird, but you know...you're right!
