First Praktica pictures on Kodak BW400

More like snapshots...just to test the camera's abilities. I didn't like how the prints came out from Walgreen's (with a kinda bluish tint) so I scanned these from negatives and adjusted them in PS. They came out much nicer this way. The one of my wife has Hodgy's Softar action slightly applied to it. These were shot with the 28mm f/2.8 Pentacon lens.

That happens sometimes with this kind of film - I've heard that it's because the negative base isn't clear and they print in color. That makes sense to me because the negs usually have a slight amberish/magentaish tint to them. Yes, those are words! Great film for scanning though - probably the best of what I've tried. I really liked their old T400CN but it hasn't been made for a few years. Nice shots too!

Love the one of your wife Ray. It has a real warm feel to it. B&W neg film can be a real blast to use. It just seem a lot of trouble to me now after getting use to digital.

Thanks everyone! I like this film too, to some degree, but I think I want to try HP2 or TriX. Haven't tried those yet.
