You have a winner here! This is awesome. I think you should enter some contests - and/or submit it to a magazine. It's a seriously interesting wonderful image. How on earth did you find this guy - or girl?

That one is priceless. I don't normally get excited about bug shots, but this one is great.

Another money shot! I saw the dragonflies you had posted before but for some reason or other I didn't get a chance to comment. These are just great, Loupey. Print them, frame them, SELL them!!

    Re: This one has Acrophobia

Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments! Glad you enjoyed it

Liz, this image came at the very end of a very hot hike. About 1 1/2 hours in 94 degree heat, I found this guy hanging out about 40' from my truck. This image below is image #1 of how/where I found him. Both images were with my Canon 300mm f/4L IS with a 36mm extension tube. This first image was at about 12' (didn't know how close he would let me approach). The first post image was from about 3'. And 3' to 12' is the full focusing range I get using this tube with this lens.

Schrackman - thanks. I did print off several quick copies, matted them and took them down to one of the galleries in time for the monthly "gallery hop" weekend. I'll check with the gallery owner and see how they did.

    Thanks again.
