the late road home - 2009

Time to start this idea again.
    1) on the road home from work
    2) taken without getting out of the car

I finally got the sunset pylon shot I've been waiting for. But it was the last image on the memory card, so I had only the one opportunity.

The colours of the wheat as it ripens are at a very interesting stage right now, the green is fading, and it hasn't ripened into the golden colour yet. I class that second image as a near-miss, because of the foreground. Imagine it without that foreground.

Good to see wheat in the fields again, rather than oilseed rape.

I like the foreground. Gives it depth.

Thank god I'm not the only one who takes photo's of pylons!!!!!!

Fortunately my excuse is that I have to work in their very close proximity.

At 70mph I'm surprised you got the fence that near level !

    Folks, I don't want a speed contest, OK ?

No worries Paul, had 5 lanes w/no traffic (being Saturday) and would have never even attempted the shot during weekday rush hour when the road is packed, but it was on my way home from work...
