    Fixie Porn

By "fixie" I mean fixed-gear, and by "porn" I mean... well, it's porn to them.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

    Re: Fixie Porn

It reminds me of Gotham City in any of the Batman movies. Fantastic work Sebastian.

Seb didn't tell everyone the whole story though. We've been planning to shoot my other bike for months. I built this one up not too long ago and I guess we were both finally inspired to work on it. Today I brought my bike over to his place.

We went to Chili's for dinner (because none of us wanted to spend more money at The Outback (No Peter, the restaurant chain here in the states). We were looking out the window and Sebastian nudged me followed with the words "Hey, that would probably make a good background". As much as I like to argue with him, I went ahead and agreed. (I knew he was right). Turns out we had the same vision, but he was more creative than I was and it turned out very good I think. I'm very happy with the results.

After eating we had to go back to pick up the bike and then return to Chili's. A couple waitresses (including the one that sreved us) were looking out the glass door wondering what on earth we were up to. Turns out she (the waitress) has an aunt as a photographer. "Oh, cool." said we.

Anyway, thanks again Seb. I got to see him in action today for the first time with anything serious. I learn more new things doing that than most other methods. He's got some great talent. Enough a$$ kissing.

    Ciao!

    Re: Fixie Porn

    Thanks guys.

Look ma, no wires! It just so happens that the cardboard box from my new superclamps was the PERFECT height to sit under the crank and hold up the bike. Box was removed in PS.

While we're on it, I mind as well fess up to the rest of the PS usage. Adjustment layers throughout, for the frame, background, chainring, chain and a shadow fix on the handlebar.

What an awesomely fun way to start out the new year.

Thanks OT, but I haven't been holding out, I just have not been shooting much for fun. This past year I had a lot of other stuff to worry about, and after doing a lot of newspaper work, I just kind of needed a rest.

I agree. Great image! And my eye keeps getting drawn to the little round thinging balanced over the seat. It just seems to be floating there rather than being a bump out of the electrical box. I don't know why it keeps drawing me but it's pretty neat.

How about color? That blue works very well with the yellow frame. Was that as found?

Color was a hue/saturation adjustment layer.

    Thanks everyone!
