    New Website and news.

After my last web design wasn't what I expected I finally found a design that I am very happy about.

    http://www.lorencrannell.com

I am still uploading pictures to the site, so it's a work in progress and by the end of the week I should have most of the photos up. It's so nice to have larger photos on the web.

My current ongoing project is shooting backgrounds for car advertising. Hopefully this weekend, I can make a trip up to Napa for some photography and some wine with my wife and two dogs.

    Have fun...

    Loren,

Wow! Awesome images! The colors are so beautiful. It's also amazing how size changes the perspective of an image even on my LCD monitor. Your photos are breathtaking. I was actually taken back when the first one appeared on my monitor.

I'm looking forward to seeing more......and will check it out in a few days.

    Thanks for sharing your website.

i like your website. Its easy to search around. Like Liz, i look forward to your personal work and lifestyle and fashion pictures too. someday i would like to make my own website too once i start building a portfolio, but in the bio section, is it necessary to put it into third person. I don't have a problem, but does it make more professional? i'm just curious.
    Lightroom is my Darkroom...Hahaa.

    Hi Liz,

Thanks for taking the time to take a look. For the first time I am happy with my web presentation. After putting so much work into traveling, it's nice to have something that represents you fairly.

    Thanks again,

    Hi Flow,

I put the bio in the third person, because my wife, who is a marketing person, wrote it. She is taking on more of the administrative and marketing work for the photo business. Karen felt it was more professional.

Thanks for the time and comments...

    Hey Sebastian,

Thanks for taking a look. The simplicity is a great factor and it's basically a web portfolio.

Nice site, Loren. I like that you let your images 'do the talking' rather than have so much flash and fluff. Your photography is excellent.

    Hi Loren,

The site looks great. It really is quite simple to navigate through. I can't wait to see what else you add.

    Hi Brian,

I seem to remember who you are!! Good to see you back. I am now one of the Nikon Samurai, back from my stint with the wrong crowd.

It's good to hear that it's simple to navigate.

What have you been up to?

    Re: New Website and news.

Got tired of the MKII or whatever it was called?? What brought you back to the side of Light?

I've been working mostly and trying to keep up with my two sons. Seems the older they get, the harder they make my life. Other than that, it's little league baseball season and I've been doing a lot of umpiring.

How about you? Things going well? Been traveling much?

    Re: New Website and news.

    Hey Brian,

Just never got used to the Canon's, especially my two EOS 3's that I used for travel photography. The digital images were always exceptional, but I needed to have consistent results from film and digital.

I'm not sure why Canon doesn't update the flash technology in the film cameras, but that's not important any more for me. Love the F6, and the D200.

Got back from a two week road trip to Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho...and soon we are going to Indianapolis for the F1 race. Upcoming trip is probably Baja California or Cozumel for scuba diving.

Hope you and your sons are doing well....

What fun! I have Wyoming and Montana on next year's schedule. May have to add either Idaho or South Dakota as well. Did 2 weeks give you enough time to really enjoy the sights?
