    I'll play...

I am betting it is either over, Utah, Colorado or North Western Nevada/North Eastern California. I am more inclined to say the latter. I am sure though it is along the same longitude.

    Re: Where was I???

Looks like California. The last photo is what made me think it was the Sierras. I was trying to figure out which reservoir/lake was in these photos. But I don't know. I also can't identify any of the mountains. But it does look like California or maybe Western Nevada.

Nope. BTW you're the one I thought for sure would get it. Airline = Delta.

(that should give the location away)

    Well...

I know that there is a Delta here in Utah and there is also one in Colorado..
But the Delta here isn't that mountainious.
    So, it MUST be Colorado...

    The Answer.........

These were taken minutes after take off from SLC last thrusday (12/02/04). We took off to the north, I believe, then made a big right turn to the east on my way to Cincinatti. So these mountians are a little north of SLC along the east edge of the basin.

I flew over Rocky mountain national park as well, but the Moutains right out side Salt Lake were so good I didn't even bother to take a picture of RNP. Better light and I was a little closer to the ground near SLC.

Brian, I thought for sure you'd know your own mountains. =) Had I been in SLC for any longer than to run from plane to plane I would have tried to run into you. Maybe next time.

    Re: The Answer.........

It's been a while since I have flown east..
That reservoir must be Pine View, up in Ogden.
Yes, let me know next time, I live just south of the SLC Airport, about 5-10 minutes.

That could be Pine View. The valley doesn't look quite flat enough. But I don't know if I've ever flwon over it. And there's a town next top the lake that I don't see. Still, the description matches the location of Pine View. And it looks right. The road looks like the road up Ogden Canyon.

Darn, too late to this one. I would have said just west or south of SLC, because I've got similar shots. The airline doesn't make a difference, though, I've been over those mountains in two different airlines, neither of them Delta.

I'm quite impressed with your color.

    Re: Ahhhhhh

well then you have a much better idea of where I was than I do. I've never left the airport in SLC.

FYI: I should be heading out to SoCal next month for a couple of weeks. I should be able to sneak my bike out with me. If you have time, I see a S.B. weekend in our future. I'll email you when I get better details.

    Re: Ahhhhhh

This is true, Delta does have a hub here, a few months ago Delta nearly took it elsewhere, Denver I believe, but they decided to keep it here.
I still think you were reffering to the place, i.e. Delta, Utah.
    Anyway.....................

Give me the dates you're going to be there. I have to plan ahead these days. But an excuse to do some SB riding is definitely in order. Plus, I might be able to get kafin8ed and maybe some of the Marzocchi boys to meet us.
