    Rural America

I live in a rural area of these United States and some of the scenes that I capture are those that have been around for as long as I can remember. These scenes are not always pretty but are a real part of everyday life. Here is an image to kick off this thread. Hope you will add some images of every day life were you live.

I love this idea Larry. A couple great images to start it out. I'm hoping to be able to add some photos to this thread, just been too busy so far this week.

Great shots Larry! A bit of naustalgia is always good for the soul! Well, since there is really not much to shoot in the town where I live, and I have not been there too long, I will join in by posting some (more) shots of the town where I spend a good deal of my "photography life" which is basically just a few miles up the road.

Driving around town on a sunny afternoon

Thanks, but that driveway is actually the road! I had to turn around up by the farm because it was completely drifted over.

Ah yes of course. A driveway wouldn't have that 35 Mph sign. Cool shot regardless.

    Matt,

These are both beautiful shots! What a gorgeous view. You must have plenty of photo ops in your area. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Liz! Yes, I do live in a very scenic place. It has it's tradeoffs, but I think it's worth it.

Great job Matt, that's a technique that I need to give a try. Love your results with it.

Thanks. I just got this filter and I'm just figuring out what to do with it.
