Grand Canyon

Just a few of many photos I took at the Grand Canyon last Wednesday. Temps hovered around freezing all day with patches of snow still remaining from the previous week. Even with the cold weather there were still quite a few visitors at the canyon rim, I can only imagine how many people are around when the weather is nice.

Thanks Frog, and your right, the colors are true to life. Even thought it was a bit overcast that day, the times that the sun was fully out, once your eye moved more than a couple hundred yards from the rim, colors become muted. Almost as if there is mist in the air, which is certainly not the case. I could only guess that just the vastness of the canyon washes out most of the color, and that if you were down in the canyon you would see something totally different.

Truly an amazing place.
