    Dust Storm!

A huge duststorm blew through the other night. I watched as this enormous cloud of dust first enveloped the mountains and then blew into our heighborhood.

    We ran.

    But first I took pictures...

We have a huge population of mountain bike guys and gals out here. They ride through the preserve all day. I happened to have my digi with me when this duo rode past us.
Couldn't quite make it up the hill... and then, back down the other side.

Hope it ended quickly without physical harm to anyone.

Cool. I'm gonna bike tomorrow after work but nowhere as nice looking as that place. I'm going to to a few miles at park first then hit the trail hopefully in 2 weeks. I need to tune my legs up first. Everytime I want to buy a new part for my bike I stop myself so I can use the money for my camera stuff.

Yes, it did end quickly. Within the hour it was gone. Clear enough for a pretty sunset that night.

I am really not a big mountain bike fan. I tried once in California to get into it, but I felt like I was "driving past" nature and not really taking it in. Which for me defeats the purpose of being there.

And I know what it's like having to split your money between hobbies
