I got a vivitar bounce swivel/tilt flash. I have no experience using a flash, so I've been finding some unwilling furry subjects to practice on Nice to get some shots of them without their eyes glowing like a demon.

Nice pet photos! Did you bounce the flash off the ceiling for all of these? My cat always comes over to get petted if I get down on the floor to take pictures of him. Makes it really difficult to get anything in focus

I mainly was bouncing off the ceiling, but on one or two shots I tried swiveling so it was bouncing more off the wall.

Baby (the killer Yorkie) looks sad in her shots since she kept wanting to get closer to me and I kept telling her to stay so I could get a picture.

LOL, the killer yorkie is named Baby ?

I have in my wish list a flash that can be used remotely and can be controlled by the camera flash, instead of the ancient vivitar I connect with a very long cable

Yes, well, it was Bailey, when my grandma bought her at a Church rummage sale in Arkansas. But for some reason she didn't like Bailey, so she renamed her Baby. Which must of confused the wild fox she was feeding by her house down in Arkansas, since she called the fox Baby as well.

Nana's not very creative with naming. My mom is Pat, my uncle is Mike. Before Mike was born, they also had a dog named Mike. My great uncle gave her a Yorkie years ago, so that one already came named Dixie. Dixie had two puppies, which my grandma named Mike and Patty (not making that up). She kept Patty and gave Mike away, who was renamed later by the new owner since "he" actually was a she and they wanted a more feminine name.

I don't know if my uncle Mike feels rejected since she kept Pat and gave Mike away. :P

The other names also not very creative. Tommy is male, hence a Tom cat. JR she got as a kitten so he was Jr. (Junior) which later morphed into J.R. when he turned into the butterball turkey he is today
