Yeah Paul, it ended at 1159PM EST, which would have been what about 5AM today your time...
I am guessing that I'm a runner up, but haven't heard anything yet.
It will be interesting to see how it finally ends up as far as the grand prize goes.
Amongst the "voting public" there is quite the discussion going on about how things went down yesterday...
I am content with being a runner up, nine runners up will be awarded a watch of their choice.
As far as the coloring contest goes, I placed second there.

Awww, you're so sweet. You guys and all your great shots and PP are really intimidating. I'm working up the nerve and hoping for some inspiration. Not much to shoot close by and not much opportunity to go elsewhere.

Same here Paula...the dusty town kind of blocks me..I`m trying to think what to shoot indoors cause outside is nothing too appealing.:idea:

I believe I had just about 1000 votes in possibly 999 or 1000, it was very close at the final countdown. It seems to have went beyond midnight but I fell asleep before the counting was completed :)
They will start judging on Monday, tomorrow.
I'll keep everyone posted on what happens as soon as I find anything out.

Yeap...really awesome work scattered among those 15 portfolios. To my surprise most of them are from female participants...and I must say some of them are really nice looking (hot) and talented...perfect combo...:D

After further review, I think you were handicaped on subject matter. Some of the women are really hot, and your subject just don't much for me :D :lol:. Just be thankful you did not have the handicap of my ugly mug. Everything considered you done darned good kid, congradulations.

While some of the competition's photos admittedly were very creative, I thought your photography skills were every bit as good -- or better -- as well as having some creative shots yourself.
Do you know how many entries there were? Top 15 sounds pretty good, unless, of course there were only 16!

The top 15 are basically who had the most internet buddies throwing votes at them and has nothing to do with the judges. I have no idea how many entries there were, but I would guess it was in the several hundred range
Last checked, the judges are making final decision to the few they narrowed down. i guess i will get the email notice when the result is in, and will let all know what happened
Brian, I have no clue yet as to whether there will be an exhibit including the 15 public favorites.
I'll keep posted.
