    Gallery Search: Blur

I just did a search for the word "blur" in the gallery. This is the gallery it spit out:

Tag, you're it. What's your search?

Sneaky way to get people to go through the galleries, John. I actually have been looking more often.

    You've got my number, Frog

But you're not entirely correct. There are two reasons I started this thread. One is that Flickr does something similar with keywords on their site. I wanted to see what would come up here. I alsways like photos with some blur, so that was a natural keyword search for me. But I also wanted to see what other people were interested in. I wanted a look into the gallery through someone else's filter

    Orton Effect

    Here's a good one - Orton Effect: http://gallery.photographyreview.com...limit=&x=9&y=9

If you don't know what it is, some of the photos in the gallery are from an old Orton Effect forum thread. That discussion tells how to do it. It's a cool effect and pretty fun to play with.

Is there a way to search for IR without getting every word with 'ir' in it? - TF

I tried a couple of things and it appears the gallery search isn't sophisticated enough to do that. Try searching "infrared" and see what you get

You can also go to the actual Gallery Search page. That page gives you a whole bunch of ways to focus your search, including film type. There's a film dropdown where you can choose infrared film only images, if you want. Any photos that someone selected that film type when they were uploading will show up if you limit the search that way. It's very useful if you want to look at photos shot with a particular camera, lens or film.
