    Hello to everyone!

    Hello to everyone!

I have just purchased a Olympus e-volt 500 after putting up with my point and shoot (Optio s-4) for too long, and funny enough the optio broke down 2 days after I bought the new camera! I would discribe myself as a amatuer photographer who enjoys it as a hobby. I have had a picture of mine used in a book about yachting and one also used on a website for vacations in Alaska (I was over the moon). They were taken from a stock photo site I uploaded them to.

Now I have this dSLR, and I am finding it difficult but enjoyable, I like the challenge! I dont have as much time as I would like as I have a 1yr old and I am using it for the point and shoot mainly! But I live in Vancouver and hope to buy a kayak this summer and really get out there and improve.

All help will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks, and see you around.

    Welcome to the boards!

I too have the E-500 and love it. It's really one great little photographic tool. Make sure that you check out the 4/3s forum and the 4/3s resource page!
