    Snow Sculptures

Some of you may have read my 5D Adorama saga below in the Dealer Feedback forum. I have been tooling around with this camera and taking some photos with it, Nothing spectacular, just vacation stuff. I also recently purchased a Metz 54 MZ-3 flash unit. Last night I put the two together at the snow sculpture contest in Breckenridge, Colorado. I have a lot of learning to do on the flash.

The camera feels and handles a lot like my 10D. The viewfinder is huge and bright. A 28mm lens is a wide angle again! The AF is fast and rarely hunts for focus. It's nearly instant on, there is really no delay when you turn it on or wake it up. So far I like it, and the photo detail is wonderful.

    Re: Snow Sculptures

I can imagine how they make ice sculptures but snow must be much more difficult.
I always had trouble making snowmen myself.
Thanks for sharing .....those are neat.
    Keep Shooting!

    Fantastic!

And great shots too. Snow can be tricky when it comes to exposure and white balance.

Those are terric scultptures and you did well with keeping the detail in the snow.
