    It's Mutton Bustin' time...

This week begins our annual Stagecoach Days celebration with Mutton Bustin', where kids are able get their first real experience of what it is like to be in a Rodeo. This was my first time watching this sort of event and I have to say I am hooked. To watch these kids ride sheep is just hilarious. Some of them took some nasty spills but still got up and got back on the sheep in the next round. This is one little fella who took his Mutton Bustin' seriously. I'm thinking this photo just may serve as a good advertisement for participation in next year's event.

    More pictures to follow.

Here are just a few more photos to show what a rough ride these kids had, lol.

It's evident to me the kids are liking what they are doing. Here they are lined up just waiting for their turn. Notice both boys and girls took on the sheep, and the rider with the most points tonight was a girl!

And a few more thrills and spills. Almost every rider gets a face full of dirt, hehe.

I sure wish I had been facing these kids when they fell off. I would have love to got their expressions.

    And finally, the winner's circle.

These are a great series of pictures - great shots and lots of fun viewing them. They brightened my day!

I agree - any of them would make great posters - you might want to check into that!

I love them all, but my favorites are the first in the first series of photos - and the last in the last series.

    Thanks for sharing them.

Nice stuff Ray. That first one is a classic and I agree it would make a great promo poster for the event. Got to love images of kids being kids.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks everyone! Yes, it is as much fun as it looks. And guess what? There'll be more mutton bustin' going on tonight! I heard that even the sheep are having a great time.
