    Photo newb here...

I have had my Nikon D50 now for a full year. I have enjoyed some (read little) succeess, and much dissappointment with my pictures. This photography thing has gotten me very interested. I have read some books, played with some settings, and generally have been messing around having fun with it. Ultimately, I want to be able to take GREAT pictures of our vacations, and mountain bike scenery. (Im a carry-over from MTBR, thanks to Photo-John).

Anyway, I just signed up for a introductory photography class at a local community college. After my first class, I think I am going to love it! On the first day, we made a list for a "photography scavenger hunt". We need to photograph 12 things, that will be judged on the last day of class. It should be fun! and get me out to take pictures!

So...What I think this site needs is someone to organize an online version of a scavenger hunt. List 10 or 12 things, give everyone a month, and post thier submissions to be judged by everyone else. Winner gets a few "atta boy/girl" comments and a warm fuzzy feel good feeling.

What say you all? Anyone want to volunteer to do this?
Whoever said a photograph is worth a thousand words has never heard me !%$&%$@!# at my pictures!

Congratulations on your D50! Being a Nikon shooter, I know how it feels.

You may want to check out some of the other forums here. Photo Critique is the place to learn. Look at other's photo's read what others say about them, then post your own photo's and get some constructive critique.

You will also be interested in the Nikon Camera Forum and the Digital Photography Forums. Lots of good stuff there.

Welcome to PR, and we look forward to seeing some of your photo's.

    Hi Stupendous! Welcome to photographyreview!

Photography scavenger hunts sound like a great idea. We are currently planning a "camera around the world" project that is taking a lot of time and attention. I'd like to see you bring this idea back up in another month or so after the dust from the current project settles down. Would you do that?

Again, welcome. Make sure you do a review for that D50, and have fun looking around!
