    Fathers Day!! Great Kids!!

It sure is great when your kids know the way to your heart. My four adult children teamed up to give me a gift certificate to B&H for Father's Day! They know I always have a long wish list in the photo department and couldn't have pleased me more. I know what I'm getting for sure. I've had my eye on a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 for some time and have just not pulled the trigger. Their gift will be perfect. Now I can go play with Alison and Ray and the other in the 50 f1.8 threads. I'm excited. Thanks kids!!!!!

PS: Just added a photo of me with three of my kids and three of the grandsons plus one equally beautiful daughter-in-law.

Larry, I am still learning how to best take advantage of mine (50mm f/1.8) lens but am very pleased with the results. Looking forward to seeing your contributions in the 50mm war thread. Nice looking family. Great Fathers Day Gift.

Happy (belated) Father's Day OT! The photo is a tribute to a great dad and grandpa. They sure do know the way to your heart.......the timing is perfect to pick up that 50mm lens. I have the Canon 50mm/f1.4 and absolutely love it. It's one of my all time favorites. Thanks for sharing your family with us.

I'm looking forward to seeing some great results from that lens soon.

Thanks Ali, Russ, JETA and Liz for taking a look at my little family and for the kind comments. I hope to be posting some 50mm f1.8 shots early next week. I'm excited about it.

Looks like you raised some good kids. That 50mm is on my soon to purchase list, also.

Awwww right, OT!! Can't wait for some pics.

My kids have been a bit absent-minded the past few Father's Days (teenagers, sheesh!). But this year they say they actually have a present for me. Of course it's belated, lol. But at least they remembered.

Can't wait till they grow up to your kids' age....they're generally more thoughtful then.

I think your right Ray as they get a little older they start to realize the meaning and importance of some special days. Three of my children are parents themselves now so they seem to understand a how special it is to have children and that hey I'm still someones kid too. They are all great at expressing their appreciation to both Joy and me. We are very blessed!
