    This is why I shoot raw

    One image.
    With five treatments, from as shot, to white balance, white balance and selective colour desaturation, and two B&W conversions.

    I shoot RAW for the same reason, ever since starting I've been able to recover way more photos from many different issues.

    B&W also....always good with snow scenes IMO

    I Love it! I've also been slowly looking into transforming pictures to B/W. I can't wait till mine look this good.

    B&W for me too. All of the colour pics make the picture look to busy for me. The B&W simplifies it down allowing the viewer to concentrate on the driver trying to make it home.

    I showed them in that order deliberately, from the raw shot to how I ended up with that last B&W conversion. Glad you like the end result.
    I was quite surprised by how much detail I could bring out (or lose) in the footprints on the pavement to the left as they pass the lamp.
