    Playing in the rain

Since we've had days of torrential rain it's tough to want to go anywhere much, so between showers I just stayed in the yard -

The first is with the Olympus E-30 and the ZD 12-60mm and the other two with the manual OM 90mm macro lens.

Ohhhh - I like that first one of the floating leaf. Tighter might be better. But I likes it!

Good for you, getting out in the rain to shoot. I think weather makes for really interesting photos. It adds an extra element (heh heh) that can move photos of normally mundane subjects to a higher level. Being willing to get out there and experiment in uncomfortable conditions is a sign of a good photographer

Thanks guys. The rain's stopped now and so things should bloom pretty much overnight. Off to a conservation area tomorrow to check the flooding. Should be interesting.

I agree I really like that first one! I actually like it the way it is both because of color contrast and that cool reflection in the right side of the photo

    Re: Playing in the rain

Thanks all. The first one is in the driveway and that's a reflection of a lodgepole pine in my neighbor's front yard. I thought it came together rather well.
