Hey Liz, one from my mom

We bought Liz's digital rebel when she upgraded, as a bday gift for my mom. Every now and then she sends me something. She has no interest in ps, so is using microsoft picture it for any editing, which usually amounts to a bit of cropping and resizing. This one has been auto adjusted.

She said that she feels intimidated taking out this big camera, that people will expect her to know what she's doing. I assured her that everyone and their Grandma has that camera

This is the view out their living room window.

Re: Hey Liz, one from my mom

    Thanks Adina,

I often wonder how your Mom is doing with the camera. You can tell her that I know exactly how she feels about using the Rebel sometimes. I'm a quiet person myself, and enjoy doing photography when no one is looking over my shoulder - or glaring at the camera. When I first got an SLR, I was very shy about taking it out of the bag because it was "so big." However, the more I did it, the easier it got! That's the key!

This is a great photo - your Mom knows how to use the camera. I found the Rebel 300D easier to use than my XT. The XT was more of a learning curve for me. I always got good results from that camera - and have to work more with the XT.

The view from her window is beautiful! Wow! She could probably take a lot of pictures without going too far away from her home.

Thanks for posting the picture - and tell your Mom to just enjoy the camera, and not to worry what people think. (Easier said than done). I've only seen a couple of her pictures, but she does good work.

    Liz
