    The big 2-8

Yup, that's right. Finally hit it. And what's funny is that both my sister in laws were so excited because they thought I was turning 30 this year, so they were all set to give me a hard time. (they are both past 30) So they were like, "oohhh, it's the big one this year! do you think you can handle that?" And I'm like, "yeah, I can do 28". They were both like " that's it? you suck"

On the plus side, I was recently carded, so I'm assuming that I don't look THAT old.

    Happy birthday to me.

    Happy Birthday Adina and jar_e!

I just hit the big 3-8. I got grey hair for my birthday. That gives you something to look forward to doesn't it?

I never got carded until after I was old enough to drink. But when I was 15-21 I could get served in bars with no trouble. Back then the age was 18, and I didn't get carded until I was 21...

Happy Birthday! Boy, so close to the holidays must be rough at present time. At least I'm spaced out over the next three months. Christmas this month, my 24 anniversary in January and finally the 26th anniversary of my 21st birthday in February. My soon to be ten year old (going on 21) has her birthday in early January and is always complaining (good naturedly of course) about the proximity to Christmas.

Enough of the meandering, I hope you had and continue to have a great day and holiday.

    Good shooting!

My birthday and our anniversary on the 20th, Christmas Eve (my family celebrates), Christmas day (we usually spend just the 4 of us, but this year all the inlaws are in town), my youngest's birthday is the 27th, which is worse than before Christmas. Then we have New Years, and some down time.

    Re: The big 2-8

Thanks all. We had a good day. I visited my accountant in the morning, and she told me I made a profit this year, so that's nice. Treated myself to a nice big latte, which was very good, I think I'll have another today. Out to dinner with dh and the girls, came home and had a piece of cake, which dh had picked up on his way home. I wasn't planning on having cake, because I didn't feel like making one, so he suprised me.

Today, I'm taking some photos that are going to be in a book. And having a latte.

    Thanks everyone.

Happy B-day to you, too, Adina. Still another young one. Hope you and jared both have good ones.

You know, JS, I had the same problem of sorts. When I was in high school I could walk into a store all day to buy cigs, alcohol, or whatever. Always seemed to look older than I was. Now it is the opposite; people freak out when I tell them I am 47.

Happy Birthday youngster!! I will soon turn 58 and that is not one I'm looking forward to. I can't even remember being 28. But I can remember the joys of having a young family and enjoying the holidays together. My son turns 29 today and we will see him for the first time in about 8 months when he comes in for Christmas from Texas. I'll bet your parents were just as excited as we were to bring a new baby home for Christmas. That was one of the most exciting times of my life. Enjoy the day and treasure being 28.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
