We hope the spam has been cut down

For the newbies and our faithful followers, we hope the spam has been drastically reduced. It can get discouraging when you open a thread that looks interesting and find a bunch of spam links.
The moderators delete as soon as they can get to it and our intreipid leadier, Photo_John has been spending a lot of time banning ip links and members who only seem to be here to post spam. It was in the multiple thousands and the moderators have noticed his efforts. Seems to be a drastic reduction. Not zero but much less.
For those trying to establish membership and having to be approved now, it is worth the wait and minor hassle as you won't be seeing so much spam here either.

Kudos to Grandpaw who does most of the deleting and to PJ for his efforts to reduce the annoyance.

Please, please, please be sure to report any spam you find. Use the red triangle at the bottom of all posts. Click on it and you will be taken to a 'report' page..Just say spam or whatever other bad post it might be, click submit and it will go to the super mods or whoever is moderating that particular forum. If it seems to hang up without going through, don't worry, it has gone through even if it doesn't appear to have.
