    Lunch?

The last of the leftover polenta I made for Thanksgiving. The topping is peppers, onions, garlic, and tomatoes stewed in red wine and wild boar sausage drippings. Unfortunately, all the snausages got eaten at Thanksgiving. But the stewed peppers don't really need the sausage. They're delicious on their own.

You should make a whole series of this John, I believe this isn't the first time you have posted a photograph like this. Right?

Wow, and a cook too. That look delicious. I can almost smell it.

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.

    Then again, you are Canadian...

BTW, John. Met Roger McGuinn. Super nice guy. I can't post the pic in my blog until it runs in the magazine...

I am the last person on earth you could accuse of being a gourmet, so I've never even heard of that dish, but it does look like it might have potential. As for our Thanksgiving, we love turkey, but I avoid the stuffing, cranberries, and ambrosia, and insist on rice and gravy...we also have potatoes and gravy, just to be traditional.

This was actually at my dad's post-Thanksgiving dinnner. As most of us have multiple events to attend, my dad had a potluck on Sunday. That's what this was for. And on the actual day, I'll have you know, I ate plenty of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, etc. As for Canada - you know they have Thanksgiving up there, too! It's just on another day.
