    Grand Canyon or bust.

We're Taking off to re-visit the Toroweap Overlook at the Grand Canyon tomorrow. This is a lesser known and far more remote overlook on the North Rim. The below images were taken about a month ago when I found myself there on a day trip armed with only my digital (and no tripod) and at mid-day which produced less than memorable lighting. This trip will be an overnighter as there is a very cool albeit primitive campsite. I am going down with the film cameras to sacrifice several rolls of Velvia to the photo gods. I Hope to catch sunset Sat. night and sunrise Sun. morning. Will post some pics when we get back. Have a good weekend all!

Very nice Scooter. I hope the Velvia gods are please with your offerings and you are able to share the results with us! My wife and I would love to take a vacation and visit some of the sites out west. The Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater are two spots I really want to visit and photograph!

I agree with Penny, these shots are pretty good for mid-day.

    Nice shots!

How'd you get the midday sky so blue? i'm guessing polarizer? Grand Canyon's one place I've never been to and would love to go.
