    Weird light

This afternoon I noticed this weird light pattern coming through the slits in the nearly closed blinds in my bathroom. It looked almost like a diffraction grating but I think the scale is too large for that. I think it was from the sun shining through crossing branches in a tree in the backyard with the resulting holes between the branches acting like the opening in a camera obscura. Since the angles from the holes between branches to the blinds varied, the cast images of the sun did not quite line up. As you can see, shadows cast are jagged.

    Those aren't eyeballs Nat!
They are part of the faucet in the bath tub!

Oh, now I get it. I thought those were actually the blinds. I now see that it is just the reflection on the shower wall. Right? It is a weird light. What I would like to know is this. Is that a glove on your hand or just the way you shot it. This whole pic is kind of "psycho feeling" especially since it's in the shower. And with the eyeballs of course.. lol

That's the shadow of my bare hand. The light is not a reflection but the sunlight shining on the wall after passing through many holes in the leaves and branches of the tree and then through the slits of the blind. You can see at the ends of the bars of light that they do not line up evenly so the shadow of my hand is offset in the same way.

hey Chunk, look at it this way.. how many people have eyeballs in their shower? It just doesn't happen that often, you should appreciate it.;)
