    Question NEW YORK or bust

    hoping as many if not more can come this time around it would be really fun and the weathers going to be perfect so I'm counting me and Larry in

    PAUL and his girl friday

    Hey Penny &

    You guys are coming up for 4 days? How cool. Which four exactly? I am planning on coming up Friday day and heading back late on Sunday. So I will have enough time to squeeze in friends, mom and of course, photogra-friends

    Let's start a discussion about what to do. I am thinking maybe spending saturday as a group, doing "things." What says you oh travelers mighty? As to what to do, I've already seen everything I want to see up there. Except I never got my skyline picture from last summer I haven't seen the Lady in a few years but that;s not intirely necessary to do as a group.

    I guess what I'm saying is...

    What does everyone want to do up there!?

    How 'bout this?

    Cruises and pigeons and Ladys, oh my!

    My mom is into wine tasting and collecting. She is excited to be in NY because she doesn't have a bottle from there yet. I think we'll be traveling via car either out to some NY wineries (if they exist) or to the city to find some tasting shops/vendors of NY wine. That will probably be Sunday, if at all. You all are welcome to come...

    But I can't promise I can DD all of you

    As for the Saturday events, I think the Circle Cruise sounds like an excellent idea. We went to the ICP the first time PR went to New York. I don't know if I'd go back, but if everyone were for it, of course!

    I, too want to hear from the locals. Hopefully a few more will chime in soon.

    There are a few excellent Long Island wineries [that's where she'll be, yes?]

    Otherwise, Brotherhood, Kedem, and Hudson Valley Wineries are all about a half hour - hour outside of Poughkeepsie. You definitely need a car to get there. All three are excellent, though I know at some point in the past few years Kedem had a fire, and might not be up to giving tours again yet.
